Driving home in the sweltering heat of the afternoon, I happened to find myself behind a horse-drawn cab presumably being driven home. To say that this poor horse was suffering to an extreme degree is to put it mildly. It was stumbling along the road and its flanks were covered with foam as it pulled the cab behind, with the cabbie in the driver's seat.

Excuse me, but isn't there a law against animal cruelty in this miserable excuse for a country? Or is it the usual blah, blah, blah from the usual outdated politicians?

Well, that poor horse has no vote, but I do, and come the next election, I will most certainly use it where it will be of benefit not only to people but also to poor, abused animals like that horse, whose cruel treatment, instead of attracting tourists, attract only well-deserved national condemnation.
