A newly refurbished Tex-Mex in Sliema, which offers traditional Texan/Mexican food, has also started to cater for those who are not too keen on eating highly spiced or hot food. The few hot items on the menu are indicated by a chilli pepper but patrons can still order their food as hot as thy like via the menu's "heat meter".

"We have adapted ourselves to the local palate and introduced a lot of Mediterranean dishes including a full pasta section plus a pizza section as well," Tex-Mex director Marco Muscat said.

Tex-Mex are to open a take-away next to the restaurant.
