A total of 294 persons were arraigned in court last year for failing to issue fiscal receipts, Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi said yesterday.

Replying to a parliamentary question by Labour MP Adrian Vassallo, he said that 1,392 were arraigned for failing to submit their tax returns on time.
