The mother of a girl being adopted by the Ursuline sisters was yesterday charged with threatening the nuns.

The 32-year-old woman from St Paul's Bay was accused of threatening the nuns on Tuesday. She was further charged with offending police officers who were called to assist the nuns.

The court ordered the accused not to call at the institute in question and granted her bail against a personal guarantee of Lm500.
