A young man was yesterday charged with the possession of cannabis and heroin and with trafficking in heroin.

Stefan Cutajar, 22, of Safi pleaded not guilty to trafficking in heroin within 100 metres from a school or youth centre and to the illegal possession of heroin and cannabis on and before January 28, 2005.

Police Inspector Dennis Theuma prosecuted.

Lawyers Roberto Montalto and Edward Zammit Lewis were defence counsel.
