Countdown to Bob Geldof concert

There are just ten days to go before Bob Geldof performs live at Manoel Island on June 28.

The concert will raise funds for YMCA Valletta. Sponsored by Vodafone Malta and HSBC Cares For Children Fund, the event will also feature performances by Maltese artists Carrie & Band, Ira Losco and Winter Moods, and tribute bands from the UK for Coldplay, U2, and Queen.

YMCA assists many different groups of people including troubled families, the homeless, victims of domestic violence and people living in substandard accommodation. The organisation deals with more than 50 individuals every day. The YMCA's homeless shelter Dar Niki Cassar provides not just a place to sleep but also many other support services.

Tickets at Lm10 are available from all Vodafone shops. A limited number of tickets, including open bar, for the Camilleri Wines VIP area are also available at Lm50 each. (All Lm7 tickets have been sold).
