¤ Fontana celebrates the feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus today with a pontifical concelebrated Mass led by Bishop Mario Grech at 8.45 a.m., aired on Radju Maria 102.3 FM. The Victory Band plays marches in the parish streets at 11 a.m. Pony races will be held in St Dominic Street at 2 p.m. (in collaboration with the local council).

Mass will be said at 5.30 p.m. Solemn vespers led by Mgr Ruzar G. Borg will be celebrated at 6.30 p.m. Mgr Borg later leads the procession, accompanied by the La Stella Band. The Precursor Band gives a concert on the church square at 8.30 p.m. The Ite Ad Joseph Band closes the celebration.

There will be a day of adoration next Friday, the liturgical feast of the Sacred Heart. Bishop Grech leads an hour of adoration for all clergy at 5 p.m and leads a solemn concelebration, with the participation of the Chorus Urbanus directed by Mro John Galea, at 6.30 p.m. Bishop Grech will later lead a procession.

¤ Xewkija council is holding a horse parade from Castelvenere Gardens to St John the Baptist Square today at 9.30 a.m. The Precursor Band will take part.

¤ The Cana Movement is holding a Mass at Santa Marija cemetery, Victoria, today, Father's Day, at 4.15 p.m., led by the movement's Gozo director at 4.15 p.m.

¤ A coffee morning will be held at the Country Terrace, Mgarr, on Tuesday at 9. Transport leaves Savina Square at 8.45. Tickets are obtainable from Grace Debono (tel. 2155-1460) or Coney Island Bar (2155-1289).

¤ The Bethel Charismatic Group is organising a prayer pilgrimage to the church of the Redeemer in Senglea on Tuesday.

The group will leave on the 3.45 p.m. ferry from Mgarr.

¤ The OASI Foundation celebrates its 15th anniversary on June 26.

The general director, Fr Emmanuel Cordina, welcomes Bishop Grech to the centre on Saturday at 10 a.m. The bishop will hold a private meeting with past and present clients of the OASI Treatment and Rehabilitation Preogramme and later meet the board of directors.

At noon the bishop, accompanied by the directors and staff, will lunch with the OASI Treatment Unit residents.

Fr Cordina celebrates Mass, broadcast on TVM, for members, staff and volunteers on Sunday at 9 a.m.

An evening of commemoration will be held on June 26. Bishop Nikol Cauchi leads Mass at 6.30 p.m., followed by a reception at the OASI Centre, during which the Gieh il-Fondazzjoni OASI prize will be awarded.

¤ Xaghra Summer Club 2006 will be held at the Youth Circle four mornings a week between July 1 and August 25 for students of Year 6 to Form 5.

Activities include sports, guitar lessons, crafts, lifeskills, pottery, dance, aerobics and drama. Seminarian Mark Bonello and a group of students will lead the summer club.

Application forms, available from the parish office, should be submitted by Friday.
