Hal Mann International Ltd, the export branch of Hal Mann Vella Ltd, was present at this year's specialist exhibition, Libya Build 2006.

This specialist exhibition for the construction industry in Libya was held between May 8 and 12 at the Tripoli International Fair Ground. This was the third time this annual event was held.

The fair featured exhibitors from all over the world representing construction, water technology, electricity, air conditioning, decoration, bathroom, marble and stone, flooring and widow and doors.

Admission to the exhibition, although restricted to trade and professional visitors, reached high attendance levels and included architects, engineers, owners of construction companies and officials from the respective national departments.

Martin Vella, director of Hal Mann Vella Ltd, who was also present, said: "After our successful project which saw us supplying and installing marble, ceramics and specialised resin materials at the new Corinthia Bab Africa Hotel Tripoli, we decided that the timing was right for us to explore further opportunities in the Libyan market, especially as we can now supply over 100 types of natural marble, granite and hard stone from all over the world, as well as our own terrazzo flooring and agglomerated resin materials."

Modern Libya is eager to join the international community and is working hard to be a leading example of a new economy in Africa. Libya is now developing a new strategy for its existence and is broadening the horizon of its future.

With major development projects already started and many more under study and near approval, Libya is proving every day to be an exciting location for building and construction.

With this in mind Hal Mann International formed part of a select group of Maltese companies who took advantage of government-assisted export schemes through the Malta Enterprise office.
