2,000 footballs from BOV during World Cup

Bank of Valletta is giving away 2,000 footballs to the first 2,000 BoV Visa Credit and Debit card holders who effect at least 10 purchase transactions of at least Lm10 each between June 9 and July 9, both days included.

The promotion coincides with the duration of the FIFA World Cup being held in Germany.

"Participation in this promotion is automatic," Alan Cassar, executive head, responsible for sales and marketing at Bank of Valletta, said. "To be eligible for a free football, BoV Visa Cardholders just need to use their card during the World Cup period to effect their purchases while shopping, paying over the Internet or when travelling abroad.

"Indeed, the use of these cards constitutes a straightforward and efficient payment mechanism and a more convenient way to pay compared to using cash or cheques. During the World Cup, using these cards is even more attractive because the cardholder now also has the opportunity to win one of the footballs being offered by BOV."

With football fans looking forward to this event, held every four years, Mr Cassar said, at Bank of Valletta, "we are joining in the football fever through this new and exciting promotion".

New customers who apply for any BoV Visa card during the World Cup period will also be eligible to participate in this promotion. Transactions made through ATMs, cash advances and payment of any fees are excluded and each cardholder will be eligible to only one prize.
