First of all, I would like to congratulate all the finalists of this year's Malta Football Awards.

In particular, I was happy to see an ex-player of mine, Etienne Barbara, winning the best Maltese player award and colleague Stephen Azzopardi claiming that of best coach.

Above all, I must mention the award won by Rebecca D'Agostino as the best player in women's football.

D'Agostino has great talent. However, her best asset is her sense of humility. She never allows her head to mount.

As national team captain, D'Agostino should be a role model to all her colleagues and players alike.
