ISP to double the speed

Maltanet has announced that in the coming days all existing residential broadband connections will have their download speed doubled from 2048kbps to up to 4096kbps at no additional cost.

Maltanet CEO Keith Fearne said: "This upgrade is in line with our continued efforts to provide our subscribers with a broadband service of the highest possible quality at the best prices so that the full potential of broadband may be enjoyed.

A spokesman for the Ministry for IT and Investment said: "This announcement by Maltanet starts meeting the expectations raised by the privatisation of Maltacom.
