William Chetcuti improved his showing at World Cup shoots after finishing eighth in the ISSF competition held in Suhl, Germany, yesterday following a disappointing 16th placing in the previous event in Cairo last month.

Sixty top Double Trap shooters took part in yesterday's shoot.

Chetcuti had to settle for eighth place in the end, just two points away from the barrage final. He had rounds of 45, 46 and 45 for an overall tally of 136 from 150.

In Egypt, he was five clays away from the sixth-placed competitor before the barrage with 132 points. In another World Cup shoot this year, in Qingyuan, China, Chetcuti also failed to make the cut after finishing 13th in competition.
