Rifle butt carvings

Reference is made to "Rifle butt carvings" (The Sunday Times, June 4) by my good friend Denis A. Darmanin.

Mr David George's request will be circulated to our members who number almost 200, many of whom are collectors of military weapons.

We will gladly provide Mr George with photos and relevant information should any rifles with butt carvings turn up within members' personal collections.
