Over a week ago my wife suffered an injury in her right foot when a young driver was reversing his car in the small square in the government housing complex in Gzira.

He was driving his car into Gzira Road in reverse without noticing my wife behind his car. Had he turned his car and driven out in the right direction this accident would not have happened. My wife is still in pain and she can't go out to do the shopping or the housework. The excuse this young man gave us was that we were not on the pavement!

May I bring to his attention that some of the pavements (as in this case) was obstructed by two large pots taking up half the width of the pavement.

A word to those who are placing these pots and huge plants on the pavement: please think and reflect that these are an obstacle to passersby. It is better if they are kept inside their bars and restaurants. The pavement should be free of obstructions.
