It is understandable for the festa to be celebrated in its various forms, but not with loud music all night long! Such intolerable, ear-splitting music activities have been commonplace in Hamrun for a long number of years and the residents are sick and tired of them.
There are various EU regulations and directives on the maximum decibels allowed for loud music in open-air places. Are these being upheld by the authorities? Why don't band clubs use some common sense and organise loud music evening activities in closed areas with proper sound control?
