I don't know what planet Kevin Francica is living on but it is obviously rooted somewhere in cloud cuckoo land.

In his letter Putting Hunters In Bad Light (May 30) he questions the right of "foreigners" to criticise the hunting that goes on in Malta... without identifying which particular foreigners he means.

Has it not yet dawned on him that Malta - after years of pleading - has now been accepted as a member of the European Union? Does he fail to realise that there are two categories of membership within the EU - those who matter and those who don't? Yes, hunting (in a very different form from what happens in Malta) is prevalent in several other EU members, such as the UK, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and Belgium. These countries, however, do not have to care - and do not care - what "foreigners" think.

Malta on the other hand, with its total reliance on the income from tourism, does!
