San Andrea Senior School has won the coveted Franco Fête trophy for the second consecutive year.

March 20 is La Journée Internationale de la Francophonie, an international day celebrated by French-speaking countries. Maltese students of French celebrate this day thanks to the Franco Fête which includes activities organised by the Education Division, the Alliance Française de Malte and the French Embassy.

San Andrea Senior School was teamed up with St Francis of Assisi Boys' Secondary School. San Andrea was represented by Danika Grech, Daniel Theuma, Andrea Vella Baldacchino and Ms Sharon Abela. The students had to complete the Internet Quest consisting of 40 multiple-choice questions that had to be answered in 90 minutes. The questions were based on general knowledge including culture, geography, history, economics, sports, cinema, art, music, gastronomy, computers and French culture.

Students of San Andrea and those of St Francis of Assisi BSS showed determination and an ability to tackle the tough questions. They made full use of their ICT skills, organisational skills and co-operation - and they were rewarded by winning the prestigious Franco Fête quiz. While hosting the Mdina Glass trophy for the second year, the students and the teachers of French of San Andrea Senior School look forward to defend their title again next year.
