Contrary to what many consumers think, this column is not just about complaints. It is also about sharing information about suppliers and traders who offer good service. In this spirit I must share a brief positive note based on my observations in my travels with a particular focus on the local marketplace.
The bargains one can find at the Tal-Lira shops are amazing. Indeed, thanks to Joe Sant, certain items which used to be rather expensive are now affordable for everybody. My wife and I are among the 'many' regular Tal-Lira customers. In fact Mr Sant has made such an impact on the local marketplace that many traders are emulating him.
The point I want to make is that in no uncertain terms we owe it to him. Indeed he deserves our custom and I hope he will continue in his efforts when we adopt the euro. I am sure he will come up with the right formula. Keep it up, Mr Sant.
