Vodafone Malta has just launched a wide range of World Cup news, infotainment and media for all Vodafone football fans. And, in a separate announcement last week, it is offering a special reduction on international call rates for the next two months.

And, in a separate announcement last week, it is offering a special reduction on international call rates for the next two months. Vodafone customers will be able to keep up to date on all World Cup news or indulge in a new Vodafone game via SMS or through Vodafone live!
Goalcity will provide Vodafone live! customers with a comprehensive football news service exclusive on the World Cup proceedings through the various stages of the World Cup between next Friday and July 9.
Ringtones.com, the world's largest ring tones provider, will be putting on a number of World Cup-related content consisting of national anthems and national badges.
Musiwave will also launch a whole section consisting of ring tones and wallpaper to ensure Vodafone customers will have their favourite team's content on their mobile phones.
Vodafone customers can also follow their favourite national team, be it England or Italy, by sending an SMS to 5090-2346 and 5090-2347, respectively, for the latest news about their team. Fans of other teams can send an SMS to 5090-2348.
Electronic Arts Sport Division is providing the EA Sport World Cup 2006 game, which offers fun, thrills and excitement for all football fans who wish to play the game on their mobile phone. The EA Sport World Cup 2006 is available on no fewer than 76 different mobile phones.

"Our customers will stay up to date on the World Cup anywhere at any time. As football fever takes over, our customers will also be able to play the game themselves on their mobile phones."
Rate cut on international calls
Up to the end of next month, Vodafone Malta is offering a special reduction on international call rates to selected popular destinations: Australia, Canada, Italy, the United Kingdom, and the United States costs 10c per minute during off peak hours and on weekends.
"Over the years, Vodafone has always sought to give its customers the best value for money possible, Ms Bagnaschi said. "For the next two months, Vodafone Malta's customers can share the World Cup passion with their loved ones abroad at this specially reduced rate."
This promotion is valid until July 31 during off peak hours, including weekdays between 8 p.m. and 8 a.m. and on weekends. This reduced rate is offered to both prepaid and post-paid customers.
