Go Mobile last week launched two services for all its clients who are World Cup enthusiasts and a new offer - Keep on Talking! - enabling contract customers to benefit from talking for up to 60 minutes but paying only for the first minute.
All Go Mobile customers availing themselves of Go...oal! World Cup 2006 and Go Live! World Cup ring tones will automatically stand a chance to win prizes, Go Mobile said in a statement last Friday.
When they subscribe to Go...oal! World Cup 2006, they will start receiving SMS notifications with live updates of all the 64 World Cup matches. For an affordable one-time charge, subscribers may opt for either the premium or basic package.
"Go...oal! World Cup 2006 caters for World Cup enthusiasts who want to keep themselves updated on the World Cup games, even when they do not have access to a TV to watch the games or are busy at work," Arthur Azzopardi, Go Mobile business development manager, said.
"With this service, subscribers will be notified of all goals, results and scorers, as the action unfolds during the match, via SMS."
The basic package, costing Lm2, provides SMS notification of the start of the game, the half-time score, full-time score and any extra time or penalty shoot-out final score if applicable.
The premium package, costing Lm3, provides extra SMS notifications of all goals and scorers. Subscribing to either package automatically allows customers to participate in a draw to win a Lm50 voucher from the VIP outlets in Sliema and Valletta.
Go Mobile customers can subscribe to Go...oal! World Cup 2006 by sending a blank SMS to either 5070-5103 for the Premium Notification Package or to 5070-5102 for the Basic Notification Package.
To keep up with the World Cup spirit, Go Mobile has also introduced the possibility to download the national anthem of their favourite team/s participating in this year's World Cup - as polyphonic ring tones.
Customers, who download the anthem representing the winning team of the World Cup final, will automatically participate in a draw to win Lm120 talk-time.
The national anthems and their respective order codes are available from Go live! - Go Mobile's multimedia messaging services at www.go.com/golive Downloads may take place via WAP or simply by sending an SMS to 4202 with the order code allocated for each national anthem.
The chosen national anthem will be charged and sent via MMS as a standard polyphonic ring tone. Terms and conditions apply.
Keep on talking
The new Keep on Talking! offer applies throughout this month and next to all calls to other Go Mobile customers between 8 p.m. and 8 a.m. during the week and all day during weekends.
"Go Mobile is continuing to provide the better value in the market with the most advantageous post-paid tariffs and offers, Peter Gauci, Go Mobile senior executive sales and marketing, said. "With Keep on Talking!, contract customers calling other Go Mobile customers can talk for as long as one hour while only paying for the first minute of the call.
"A further benefit to our customers is that the first minute will be charged on a per-second basis, which means that customers who make calls lasting less than one minute will not be charged for the whole minute."
Contract customers can start benefiting from Keep on Talking! once the monthly free minutes are used up. Terms and conditions apply.
