The government is making use of biodiesel produced by Edible Oil of Marsa for some of vehicles.

Around 20 vehicles and other heavy equipment of the Ministry for Resources and Infrastructure are using an average of 150 litres of biodiesel a week.

The measure is part of the government's strategy to make better use of resources and cause less harm to the environment, the Department of Information said.

This type of biodiesel can also be used by heavy mechanical equipment.
