A 24-year-old man was yesterday charged with the possession of about 20 grammes of cocaine and 100 ecstasy pills with the intent to sell.
Magistrate Miriam Hayman heard Edward Zahra, of Birkirkara, plead not guilty to the possession of the drugs in circumstances denoting they were not for his personal use and the illegal possession of 32 counterfeit Lm10 bills.
Mr Zahra was granted bail on condition he does not leave his home without court permission and was bound by a Lm500 deposit and a personal guarantee of Lm2,000.
Police Inspector Norbert Ciappara prosecuted.
