Malta champion Massimo Cremona is back from Italy after helping CS Reggiana emerge winners in the Major of Italy tournament in Bologna.
In the Errea Cup final, they had the better of Italian champions Napoli by a better goal difference after a 2-2 draw.
This was Cremona's first honour with his Italian side after the Champions League final in Spain and a runners-up position at the Major of Mons in Belgium. In the tough Italian Serie A this season, CS Reggiana placed third.
Cremona is an automatic choice for CS Reggiana and figured in all matches for his club.
In the Major of Italy singles, Cremona reached the semi-finals but lost to team-mate Bertelli 3-2 after extra time. Vasco Guimares, of Portugal, defeated Bertelli 1-0 in the final.
A total of 128 players from eight different countries took part in the competitions.
Cremona turned in a series of excellent performances in May. Apart from his exploits for CS Reggiana, he played in the Grand Prix finals in Vienna and Belfast and also retained his Malta Championship title.
