Simon Camilleri is the winner of the second Pro Am Snooker Tournament after beating Joe Grech 5-1 in the final.
Grech compiled a break of 49 in the third frame but his effort was not enough to grab victory from Camilleri who lost the opening frame but then won the next five.
Frame scores: (Camilleri first) 58-72, 65-39, 67-49, 60-12, 76-11, 71-51).
In the play-off for third place, Alex Borg beat young Thurston Grixti 3-1. The latter also won the opening frame, 87-15 but Borg responded with three straight wins (86-63, 65-51, 87-52), compiling a break of 80 in the process.
Malta Billiards and Snooker Association president David Farrugia Sacco and secretary Paul Galea handed the trophies and Lm500 in prize-money to the winners and runners-up.
Grixti was named best U-18 player and Grech took the award for highest break of the tournament.
In all, 62 players took part, five more than the previous edition. The top 16 will be seeded for the next Pro Am.
