The band that normally accompanies Laura Pausini will this Sunday be performing alongside Michele Zarrillo at the Hilton's Grandmasters Theatre.
Michele Zarrillo has written songs for renowned Italian singers Renato Zero, Ornella Vanoni and Antonello Venditti (Strade di Roma) and is now also writing songs for Laura Pausini, who he describes as "a very close friend". He has participated in 10 Sanremo festivals and, back in 1987, won the young singers category with one of his famous songs La Notte Dei Pensieri.
The singer/composer arrives on Saturday at 1.15 p.m. from Rome together with a six-piece band, including musicians Giuseppe Bono, Alfredo Golino (currently one of the best drummers in Italy, and the only one who does not form part of Ms Pausini's band), Davide Pieralisi, Lorenzo Maffia, Cesare Chiodo and Roberto Di Virgilio.
The lighting and sound system will be the same as that being used for his current L'Alfabeto Degli Amanti tour.
He will be singing songs such as Cinque Giorni, L'Alfabeto Degli Amanti and Una Rosa Blu, among other popular songs.
