International artists for new summer festival

The first edition of the Valletta Summer Festival will be held on July 7 and 8 at the Valletta Waterfront.
The festival, organised by the M & E Management Group, is aimed at entertaining the whole family and will feature renowned artists from the UK and Italy as well as top Maltese talent.
The international artists include Debbie Nunn, renowned as being the leading Madonna tribute artist, top London West End tribute bands Rolling Stone and Killer Queen, and internationally acclaimed singer Freddie Hayse.
From Italy, Jessica, ex-leader of the popular Italian band Gazosa and known for hits such as wwwmipiacitu, will perform on both days of the festival.
Local artists will include Scream Daisy.
Football fans will be able to watch the match for third place of the World Cup on a big screen.
The festival is sponsored by Vodafone, Valletta Waterfront, the Malta Tourism Authority, Air Malta, Farsons, Kinnie, Ramla Bay Resort, Rui Seabank Hotel, Hard Rock Café and Capital Radio.
The doors will open at 7 p.m. and tickets cost Lm6 for one evening or Lm9.50 for both evenings. The festival is a standing event. Children under 12 enter free of charge.
Ticket buyers that present a paid Amedeo Minghi concert ticket at the M & E Management Group administrative offices in Kappara will get a free ticket with every two tickets purchased.
Tickets for the concert can be obtained from Exotique Music Stores and Maltapost outlets in Malta and Gozo.
