As a (very) lapsed Presbyterian, I am not interested in the doctrinal arguments about The Da Vinci Code. However, I do congratulate Vince Marshall for his very positive suggestion that all those who have been so vociferous in their condemnation of the film should donate the ticket price to Dar tal-Providenza.

But why stop at that mere Lm2? Surely the really practical way to demonstrate the level of opposition to the Da Vinci Code, is for everyone to send a donation to Dar tal-Providenza commensurate with the extent of their outrage. This would send a solid message to the film's producers and at the same time greatly help an extremely worthy cause.

I shall look forward to learning just how much Dar tal-Providenza's donations increase over the next month or so... but I won't be holding my breath!
