A total of 526 persons were found to have committed benefit fraud totalling Lm526,105 last year, Social Solidarity Minister Dolores Cristina told Parliament yesterday.

She said the abuses included incorrect information by beneficiaries on their financial means and the composition of their families as well as failure to report employment.

The minister was replying to a question in Parliament by Adrian Vassallo (MLP).
