Appreciation - Anne Scicluna
Mr Paul Sultana, of Hamrun, writes:
On Saturday, April 29, in the quiet village of Ghajnsielem, a humble, saintly, dedicated housewife and mother passed away to enjoy deserved heavenly bliss.
She left behind her husband Publius who, in his heyday as first officer of the Gozo ferries, had plied the Gozo Channel in foul and fair weather for decades.
Anne was the mother of a large family. She received the loyalty and love of all her children whom she loved and cared for as best as she could. She was so fair and just. Until the end she remembered the special dates of her children and grandchildren.
Annie, as we used to call her, harboured most moral values and sought to pass them on to her children - and she succeeded admirably.
Her married life was dedicated to her family. She rarely raised her voice in anger and accepted life's difficulties positively.
If is no wonder that her family, friends and relatives are still shocked. Anne has left a deep void. All we can do is to pray for those left behind.
