For the first time in many years I thought of tuning in to our local TV station and watch Bondi+ which dealt with the unsuccessful story of our entry to the Eurovision Song Contest.

What I could not understand was why the chairman of this farce chose to name the Lithuanian entry, why it got more votes than us and placed better. Well, Lou Bondì did not answer the question, so with all due respect, and as a person who has an ear for good music, I shall.

The Lithuanian song was a very good song, and interpreted by a professional. Unfortunately ours was not, on both fronts: the song was no good and the interpretation was awful. Take a look at the voting and see how the thousands upon thousands voted.

And if it is true, as was stated in the programme, that the voting in Malta was fixed, then the chairman and committee should resign immediately and Fabrizio Faniello should not set foot on a stage again, but pursue the catering career which he seems to be doing well in. The proof of the pudding is in the eating. Votes count and we got none, well, one.
