The National Museum of Archaeology, in Valletta, will be extending its opening hours until 7 p.m. during June.

The museum's shop will also remain open until 7 p.m. Admission fees remain the same.

After the trial period of a month, Heritage Malta will then consider extending the museum's opening hours for a longer period of time.

The museum displays artefacts from Malta's prehistoric periods starting from the Ghar Dalam phase and running to the Tarxien phase. Works are currently being undertaken to extend the museum's permanent exhibition to the upper floors.
