Survey puts jobless at 7.8 per cent

The total number of unemployed for the three months to February 2006 totalled 12,561 persons, the National Statistics Office said, quoting the Labour Force Survey.

The unemployment rate was estimated to be 7.8 per cent.

The criteria used for this survey are on the same lines as the international methodologies used by International Labour Organisation. labourmarket.nso@gov.mt
