I totally agree with Graziella Schembri's letter Ryanair's Dream Proposal (May 17). I have travelled with Ryanair many times and their planes are excellent. I was expecting a shoddy plane due to the cheap price of the tickets but it was excellent. The crew are witty and you can have a laugh with them and they are also very professional.

In March 2005 three of us travelled to Girona, Barcelona from our local East Midlands for £59 for the three of us and that was return. This was of course a special offer.

In Malta the airport taxes are exorbitant so to compensate for the high taxes you have to have a low fare and that is where Ryanair can come in.

Flying with Air Malta I have had my suitcase broken into three times at the airport as have so many others, but nothing is ever done about it. When I complained to Air Malta and the minister I got nowhere. So, hopefully, Ryanair would monitor their own plane's luggage.
