Arnold Cassola will be giving his maiden speech in the Italian Parliament this morning during a debate on the government's political programme.
Prof. Cassola will focus on a number of issues that concern Italians living abroad, mainly in Europe.
Among other issues, he will focus on the practice concerning RAI TV, whereby football matches ordinarily broadcast by RAI are systematically blocked in other European countries, including Malta.
He will be asking the government to give residents in Europe the possibility of watching the next World Cup matches for free on RAI.
Prof. Cassola, who has Maltese and Italian nationality, was elected to the Italian Parliament in April's general election as a representative of Italians living abroad.
