Neighbourly voting (2)

While I am not overly keen on pop songs, I always watch and support Malta. I am known to say "non" to ones that do not make my heart beat faster.

Malta's song was indeed worth listening to, even though I thought the singer was rather nervous at the start.

It is clear to me that the Eastern bloc voted for each other and gave the cold shoulder to the others. Both England and Malta had something to shout about but the new EU "friends" were not judging on quality and talent. While I did not expect Malta to win, I surely thought it had earned a place among the best. Malta and England should pull out of this neighbourly back-slapping contest and hold their own contest in the future.

Even Terry Wogan, who is normally very critical, was down in the mouth.
