What would you do for charity? is the theme of a programme by Ir-Razzett tal-Hbiberija to be featured on Xarabank (TVM) on June 9. The event is aimed at raising awareness of persons with a disability as well as raise funds for Ir-Razzett, an NGO which provides free therapeutic, leisure and educational services to persons with a disability, at an annual cost of over Lm380,000.

Interested participants are being challenged to choose any activity, which they would not normally ever do, unless it is done for charity - in this case, for children and adults with a disability.

So far, similar challenges that have been taken up include abseiling down the Embassy Complex façade in Valletta and a swim from Gozo to Malta. Challenges could range from overcoming phobias of crawling animals or heights, stopping smoking, men waxing their chest or legs, silly ideas like dressing up in funny costumes in popular public places, busking in Valletta and much more. The participants taking up a particular challenge are to collect donations from people and present it on the programme.

If you wish to be part of this event and help Ir-Razzett tal-Hbiberija, contact Keith Zerafa on 2163-6526 at Ir-Razzett now and propose your challenge. Your challenges could be filmed and eventually featured on Xarabank on June 9.
