Gozo has an identity; it is an integral part of the State of Malta. I also can't comprehend why most parliamentarians, when addressing the nation, constantly say "Il-Maltin u l-Ghawdxin kollha", as if people who live in Gozo were not Maltese!
Can you imagine Kostas Karamanlis, the Greek prime minister, in his address saying "the people of Greece and of Corfu and Cephalonia and Lefkas and Rodos..." (there are over 160 inhabited Greek islands) or the Swedish premier referring to the people of Sweden and its 390 inhabited islands individually or collectively? I guess it's another 'Only in Malta' issue.
