Obituary

CALLEJA. On May 16, at his residence in Birkirkara, ALBERT (Robbie), comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Lina née Pandolfino, his children Anna Callus, Sylvana and her husband Anthony Fenech, Mariella and her husband Anton Zarb, Doriana and her husband Joseph Mamo, Henrì, Sandro and his fiancée Loredana, his grandchildren Shaun, Daniel, Albert, Rebekka, Rakel, Andrew, Zachary and Clarissa, his brother Eddie, in-laws, other relatives and friends.
The funeral leaves St Luke's Hospital today at 2 p.m. for St Theresa Sanctuary, Birkirkara, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m., followed by interment in the family grave at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siggiewi, will be appreciated. Lord grant him eternal rest.

MALLIA PULVIRENTI. MAY, née Camilleri, passed peacefully away on May 17 comforted by the rites of the Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved only daughter Marie, her brother Effie, her grandchildren Sabine and her husband Neville, Marc and his girlfriend Joanna, her nieces Simone and Thelma and other relatives and friends. - R.I.P.
The funeral leaves Zammit Clapp Hospital on May 19 at 8.30 a.m. for St Gregory's parish church, Sliema, where a Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.45 a.m. followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery.

New directors at education ministry

Three directors have been appointed at the Ministry of Education, Youth and Employment.

Micheline Sciberras has been appointed director of policy development and programme implementation while Mario Buttigieg is now director for EU affairs and international relations.

Leonard Sacco is director of corporate services.

Power Cuts

The electricity supply will be suspended today in Balzan, between

8 a.m. and 3 p.m., in parts of San Frangisk, Il-Ferrovija l-Qadima and Il-Kannizzata streets and in Zebbug, between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., in L-Imdina, Luret Cutajar, Gdida and Gharam streets and parts of Tal-Hlas, Is-Siggiewi, Il-Qoton, Il-Waghtar, Ir-Raddiena, Mahlug and Il-Poeta Nazzjonali streets.

Band Display

The Band of the Armed Forces of Malta will host a band display at St George's Square, in Valletta, on June 1 at 10.30 a.m. The band will march from City Gate to St George's Square at 10.15 a.m. where they will perform for 45 minutes.

Marian cenacle

The Central Marian Cenacle will be held at the chapel of Our Lady of Lourdes, Floriana, today at 6 p.m.

Mass will be said for the repose of the soul of Fr Michael Agius on the first anniversary of his death. Everyone is invited to attend.

Nursery tournament

The Floriana FC Youth Nursery will be holding a tournament called the C. Borg Memorial for children under 12 at the Floriana ground on Sunday.
