Ronnie O'Sullivan will attempt to win a world title in another cue sport after his disappointment at the World Championship in Sheffield last month.
O'Sullivan, beaten by eventual winner Graeme Dott in the Crucible semi-finals, has confirmed his entry at the World 9-Ball Pool Masters in Holland.
Down to three on the world rankings after Sheffield, O'Sullivan will be appearing in the event for the first time since 1998.
On that occasion the Essex star lost in the quarter-finals to American ace Earl Strickland.
O'Sullivan has stated his intention to play more pool between snooker commitments and is one of the stars heading for America in July to compete on the lucrative International Pool Tour.
Malta professional Tony Drago won the 2003 9-Ball Masters.
He is in the starting line-up for the 2006 tournament taking place between June 16 and 18 at the Hotel Zuiderduin, Egmond aan Zee, Holland.
Drago had a below par WSA season in 2005/06. He slipped down the rankings to no.52 after starting at no.43.
