Obituary
ABELA. On May 16, at her residence in Dingli, PAWLA, aged 86, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children John and his wife Sheila, Theodore and his wife Joyce, Saviour and his wife Evelyn, Miriam and her husband David, Rose, Paul and his wife Jane, Charlie and Mark, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, her brothers, sisters and their families, in-laws and friends.
The funeral leaves her residence today at 4.15 p.m. for St Mary's parish church, Dingli, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 4.30 p.m., followed by interment in the family grave at Dingli cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siggiewi, will be appreciated. Lord grant her eternal rest.
CALLEJA. On May 16, at his residence in Birkirkara, ALBERT (Robbie), comforted by the rites of the Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Mary Carmen (Lina) née Pandolfino, his children Anna, Sylvana and her husband Anthony Fenech, Mariella and her husband Anton Zarb, Doriana and her husband Joseph Mamo, Henrì, Sandro and his fiancée Loredana, his grandchildren Shaun, Daniel, Albert, Rebekka, Rakel, Andrew, Zachary and Clarissa, his brother Eddie, in-laws, other relatives and friends. - R.I.P.

CAMILLERI. On May 16, at St Luke's Hospital, MARIJA STELLA, aged 82, from Rabat, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Marija ex-member of Parliament, Piju, Joe and his wife Silvia, Frans and his wife Terri, grandchildren Lee and his fiancée Vanessa, Kristina, Alexandra, Jean-Luc, Mireille, and Jake, her brothers Toninu Muscat and his wife Mary, Joe Muscat, Karmenu Borg widower of her sister Emanuela, her brother-in-law Toninu Camilleri, Lorri widow of Guzeppi Camilleri, relatives and friends among whom the management, staff and residents at Villa Messina.

Prize Winners
Raymond Mifsud and Martina Grech, who took part via SMS in the 12 editions of the Melita Sports UEFA Champions League Programme, were presented with an all-inclusive trip plus two VIP tickets to the UEFA Champions League Final.
The presentation took place at the Matrix, Valletta, on May 11.
The promotion was organised in collaboration with Melita Sports, Air Malta and Forestals.
Four other runner-up winners were presented with two PSPs and two MP3 players.
Dean's Awards
Twelve students from the B.Sc. (Hons) course were presented with awards at this year's ceremony of the Dean's Awards for Excellence in the Natural Sciences.
The first-year students who were awarded were Elizabeth Aquilina in maths and physics, Ingrid Dimech in maths and statistics and operations research, and Victoria Gatt in maths and physics.
Second year students presented with an award were Jean Pierre Brincat and Julian Evans in chemistry and biology and Andrè Xuereb in maths and physics.
Mark Anthony Caruana who is studying maths and statistics and operations research, and Massimo Farrugia and Michael Portelli attending the maths and physics course, are the third-year students while Rachel Decelis studying chemistry and biology, Andrew Duncan in CSAI and maths and Roderick Gusman in maths and statistics and operations research were the fourth year students awarded.
Women In Business
A conference on good practice in female-led enterprises will be held by the Malta Association of Women in Business on Friday at 9 a.m.
The conference, at the Hilton, is expected to be addressed by American Ambassador Molly Bordonaro and the president of the British Association of Women Entrepreneurs, Tatjana Hine, as well as Investments Minister Austin Gatt.
The registration fee for members of the association is Lm15 and Lm25 for non-members.

School Choir
The St Edmund's School Choir, of Portsmouth, England, will give a concert of sacred music at the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart of Jesus parish church, in Sliema, on May 30 at 7 p.m. (and not on Saturday as erroneously reported in yesterday's newspaper). The choir is conducted by the school's director Geoffrey Nobes.
Literature Comparison
The concluding lecture in the Literature and Comparison Seminar Series for the academic year 2005-2006 will be held at the University of Malta, Gateway Hall C, on Monday at 6 p.m.
Maria Angela Gatti will deliver a paper that will focus on the fates of Joseph, Bellerophon and Hippolytus, all of whom fall victim to an accusation triggered by their beauty and triggering, in turn, the determination to defend their chastity.
The lecture will consider patterns of similarity and contrast in these three stories, which run through the Greek, Judaic and Latin cultures. The three different endings and the significance of the stories will also be considered. A discussion will follow the talk.
