Heritage Malta will be offering free admission to all its sites in Malta and Gozo, with the exception of Hal Saflieni Hypogeum, to children under 17 as part of International Museums Day on Thursday.

Among Heritage Malta's most popular sites are Gozo's Ggantija Temples, the Palace State Rooms, Hagar Qim and Tarxien Temples, St Paul's Catacombs and the National Museum of Archaeology.

All sites, except for the State Rooms, will open at 9 a.m. with the last admission being at 4.30 p.m. and closing time at 5 p.m. The Palace State Rooms are open between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

On May 20 Heritage Malta will be extending its opening hours until 7.30 p.m. at the St Paul Catacombs, Ghar Dalam and the Hypogeum. Between 5 and 7.30 p.m. visitors will pay half the usual admission price. Children under 12 will enter for free.

An additional tour at 5 p.m. will be offered at the normal admission fee. Pre-booking for this tour is required.
