A man was yesterday conditionally discharged for a year when he admitted to stealing a letter box on Tuesday.

Magistrate Anthony Vella heard John Paul Calleja, 45, of Sliema, plead guilty to stealing the letter box from Sliema to the detriment of Maltapost at about 11 p.m.

Police Inspector Romina Veneziani prosecuted.

Lawyer Philip Manduca appeared for Mr Calleja.
