The Malta Environment and Planning Authority yesterday unanimously approved a full development application to demolish the Les Lapins Hotel, situated on Ix-Xatt Ta' Xbiex and l-Imradd streets in Ta' Xbiex.

The applicant must install a wheel-washing facility at the entry/exit point of the site before demolition starts. Although the permit given yesterday is only to tear down the building, the aim is to replace it with a small hotel, commercial and residential units and a car park.
