A 27-year-old woman was yesterday conditionally discharged for six months for slightly injuring another woman with a knife a year ago.

Magistrate Anthony Vella found Claire Borg, of Sliema, guilty of slightly injuring Karen Spagnol last summer and of the illegal possession of the knife. She was, however, cleared of trying to seriously injure Ms Spagnol.

Police Inspector Daniel Zammit prosecuted.
