Two men were yesterday arraigned in Gozo and charged with stealing from several cars to the detriment of tourists.

Police Inspector Antonello Grech charged Paul Zammit, 20, of Qormi and Joseph Zammit, 39, of Swatar of having stolen several items from five rented cars at Dwejra Bay last Tuesday. They were also charged of causing damage to the cars. The tourists whose cars were raided appeared in court and recognised all the items that had been stolen and which the police alleged they found in the possession of the accused.

Magistrate Tonio Micallef Trigona refused bail.

Lawyer Chris Said was defence counsel.
