An international fashion show, expected to include fashion wear from some of Italy's top notch designer houses, will be held in Malta in July.

Models wearing pieces from the collections of top designers like Armani, Versace and others are expected to strut down the catwalk at Manoel Island.

The latest fashion wear from Maltese designer Beatrix by Charles and Ron will also be displayed during the fashion show, which will enable five Maltese models to participate alongside the 30 international models.

One of the local models is expected to be offered a contract to participate in other TV Moda fashion shows and will be introduced by TV Moda to leading professional model agencies in Milan.

Renaissance Productions Ltd director Anton Tabone said arrangements are also being made to invite a "renowned international designer and an acclaimed celebrity" for the show, that will be presented by fashion presenter Jo Squillo.

The Malta Tourism Authority is supporting the event.

The show follows an agreement between Renaissance Productions Ltd and TV Moda. The show will be screened on the satellite fashion channel together with a special feature about Malta as an attractive tourist destination.
