Dixon: Tottenham's uncapped 16-year-old Terry Dixon has been included in Ireland's 29-man squad for a training camp in Portugal followed by a friendly against Chile in Dublin later this month. The striker, who is yet to play for Tottenham's first team, was the surprise inclusion after catching coach Steve Staunton's eye during the UEFA under-17 championship.
Everton: Veteran Scottish striker Duncan Ferguson and Chinese midfielder Li Tie have been released by Everton. Everton, who finished the season on Sunday in 11th place after a 2-2 draw with West Brom in Ferguson's last match for the club, also decided against retaining Italian defender Matteo Ferrari, who has been on loan from Roma.
Bolton: Jay-Jay Okocha and Bruno N'Gotty are both leaving Bolton Wanderers. Former Nigeria captain Okocha and French central defender N'Gotty have been released by manager San Allardyce at the end of their contracts. The pair helped Bolton reach the League Cup final in 2004 and finish sixth in the Premier League in 2005, qualifying for the UEFA Cup for the first time and going out to Marseille in the third round in February.
Togo: Togo will be the first of the 32 World Cup teams to arrive in Germany - more than three weeks before the tournament begins on June 9. Togo are due to touch down in Germany on May 15. The squad will have their base camp in Wangen in the south of the country.
In England: The Championship promotion play-off (SF 2nd leg) Preston vs Leeds 0-2 (agg. 1-3).
Division Three: Gharghur vs Gudja 0-2; Attard vs Gozo 1-2.
