St Edmund's School Choir from Portsmouth, England, will present a concert of sacred music at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart of Jesus parish church in Sliema on May 30 at 7 p.m.
The concert is being organised by the Societa' Filarmonica Sliema.
Founded over 30 years ago, the choir is made up of present and former school pupils of St Edmund's Roman Catholic School, Portsmouth.
The choir's repertoire of sacred music from the wide range of the Church's patrimony has been well received by both audiences and critics, and despite the ever-changing membership as pupils leave the school, it is noted both for its discipline and for the purity of sound associated with many typical English choirs.
The choir is conducted by the school's Director of Music Geoffrey Nobes.
