I am sure that the great majority of us Maltese are experiencing a silent protest in our hearts at the imminent showing of The Da Vinci Code film. Banning the film is, of course, too undemocratic in this modern, progressive world of ours. But it would be appropriate if many of us, individually and as organisations, declared publicly that we feel offended by such blasphemous trash nicely wrapped in fine literary style or colourfully presented on our cinema screens. Quo vadis, Malta?
