The Society for Scale Modellers is holding its annual exhibition, 'History in Scale 2006', between next Saturday and May 21 at Vault 14, Valletta Waterfront, Pinto Wharf. The show, which coincides with the 25th anniversary of the founding of the society, is open daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. The exhibition will close on May 21 at 4 p.m.
The exhibition includes about a thousand scale models of aircraft, ships, cars, motorcycles, armoured fighting vehicles, figurines and scale dioramas portraying different historical subjects of various eras.
There will also be a flying display, as well as a static display by The Hal Far Flying Models Club. A section of the exhibition will be dedicated to wargaming and a special attraction is a display commemorating the society's 25th anniversary.
As in previous years, the society is endeavouring to present top quality models of World Championship class standards - the society is affiliated to the International Plastic Modelling Society in the United Kingdom.
The show is a must, especially for those individuals interested in scale modelling. The public is invited. Anyone wishing to join the society can contact anyone of the stewards for further details. The society's Website is www.ipmsmalta.com
